Al Zawaya

Al Zawaya (arabic for “The Angles”) is a fictional social club and events center located in Alexandria, Egypt. Built by the studio of renowned Japanese architect, Tadao Ando, the space physically emphasizes the importance of natural light and the angles created by this light. Al Zawaya is an attempt to rescue the history of the long lost Lighthouse of Alexandria while also bringing a sense of elegance and modernity to the area. Each aspect of the brand system takes into account the themes of light, angles, history, and modernity.
